The versatile work of Andre Nax encompasses a stylistic spectrum from bold abstracts lashed with dramatic brush strokes to restful images of tranquility. Nax learned the fundamentals of structure, color, lettering and design through his extensive education in Art and Design both in the US and in Europe. Becoming a painter, his large body of abstract work, rendered in energetic, spontaneous brush strokes, draws inspiration from his passion for design combining elements of graphic design such as occasional use of lettering within the body of a more traditional expressionist painting.
