The celebration of pure beauty and elegance of the ballerinas mixed with crude brutal military machinery creates a uniquely unexpected sensation of good and evil, graceful and absurd. The paradox of the nation that creates the most polarizing and idealistically different cultures within is pity and charming at the same time. Irina March brings incompatible into one focus achieving visual balance but the intellectual message is way to powerful in “Soviet Decadence” series of compositions to really look beyond it.
